This site does one thing: it takes an email address so we can tell you when the Whipsaw beta opens. This page explains exactly what that involves, in plain language.
What we collect
When you submit the form, we store:
- Your email address, because that is the thing you asked us to contact you on.
- The date and time you submitted it.
- Campaign tags from the link you arrived through (the
utm_values in the address bar) and thereferring website, if there was one. This tells us which advert or link brought you here, so we know where to spend a very small marketing budget. It does not identify you beyond the email address you already gave us.
That is the complete list. There is no name field, no account, no password, and no profile.
What we do not do
- No cookies. This site sets none. You can verify that in your browser's developer tools.
- No analytics or tracking pixels. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session recording.
- No third-party resources. The page loads no external fonts, scripts, or images, so no other company sees your visit.
- No selling or sharing. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your email with anyone.
- No mailing-list company. Your address is not uploaded to Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or any similar service.
Where it is stored
In a database hosted by Cloudflare, who provide this site's hosting and storage. Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses and request metadata in the ordinary course of serving and protecting the site, under their own privacy terms. We do not store your IP address ourselves.
How we use it
To email you when the beta opens, and occasionally about the beta itself. That is all. We are not going to sell you anything unrelated, and we are not going to email you often.
How long we keep it
Until the beta has launched and you have had a chance to join, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If the project is abandoned, the list is deleted.
Your choices
Email privacy@whipsawgame.com and ask us to send you a copy of what we hold, correct it, or delete it. We will do it, and we will not ask you why. Every email we send will also contain an unsubscribe link.
Depending on where you live, you may have formal rights over your personal data — for example under the UK/EU GDPR or the CCPA in California. The same address handles those requests.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has submitted an address, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If the change is significant and we hold your address, we will tell you by email.
